MINI GETAWAY – A DRIVE DOWN MEMORY LANE AT PENANG & KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
With great anticipation of food, fun and adventure, MINI owners began their weekend vacation before sunrise on a drive to the pearl of the orient – Penang.
On the morning of 26 May 2018, a high-spirited fleet of 37 MINIs with a total of 83 participants and crew made their expedition towards Penang. MINI owners had an engaging and enthralling drive up north, having experienced first-hand their MINI’s agility and go-kart handling.
Driving across the stunning Penang Bridge, participants arrived at DoubleTree Hilton’s luxury beach fronting hotel. The adventure transitioned from motor to morsels of savoury and sweet treats, as participants had a taste of tradition, savouring the delicious local fare in Penang. Having had a fill of Penang’s great food and attractive local street murals, participants ventured towards the heart of Kuala Lumpur for a leisurely evening of more local fare and good company, followed by a good night’s rest at Le Meridien Hotel before heading back on 29 May 2018.
