Tangerang, August 10, 2017 — PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) debuts at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2017 as the official Distributor of Mazda vehicles in Indonesia.
“Our participation in GIIAS 2017 is indication that Mazda’s presence in Indonesia will grow from strength to strength, and we are heartened by the full support that we are getting from Mazda Motor Corporation, Japan,” said Mr Roy Arman Arfandy, President Director of PT EMI. “Today at the GIIAS 2017, I am pleased to officially launch our latest superior SUV, the All-New Mazda CX-5. In addition, we are also taking this opportunity to display some of Mazda’s most popular models in Indonesia, to fans, potential customers and Mazda enthusiasts in the country,” he added.
The original CX-5, which was launched in 2012, was the first of a new generation of models that feature Mazda’s brand hallmarks, namely, KODO – Soul of Motion design and SKYACTIV technology, both of which are driven by Mazda’s vision and pursuit of providing all its customers with superior driving pleasure, and outstanding environmental and safety performance.
Just like the first-generation model, the All-New CX-5 also augurs the future direction of Mazda’s vehicle engineering. The design of this latest evolution of the CX-5, both in terms of interior and exterior elements, surpasses that of the original. With the All-New CX-5, Mazda has elevated the car’s driving pleasure and responsive driving sensation, and its sense of comfort and peace of mind for both drivers and passengers alike, to a whole new level. The driving dynamics and chassis design have been greatly enhanced to provide a more refined ride that is insulated against noise, and strengthen the unity between the driver and the car, thus bringing to life Mazda’s trademark Jinba-ittai (horse and rider as one) and human-centred innovation and engineering. The SKYACTIV-G engine and six-speed SKYACTIV-DRIVE automatic transmission have also been improved with better throttle control and responsiveness, further accentuating the Jinba-ittai driving experience.
“The All-New CX-5 driving pleasure can be felt both by the driver and passengers. Mazda’s proprietary G-Vectoring Control (GVC) gives greater control to the driver who will be in sync with his vehicle in an intuitive way with every turn of the steering wheel or touch of the throttle. Simply put, the car goes where the driver expects it to go, resulting in increased driver confidence and peace of mind. And both the driver and passengers get to experience a comfortable ride with minimal torso-sway as GVC increases vehicle stability while reducing sideways sliding of the cabin occupants’ bodies, “said Mr Arfandy.
The All-New Mazda CX-5 is available in two variants namely; the GT and Elite. Under the hood, there is a SKYACTIV-G 2.5L petrol engine, equipped with 6-speed automatic transmission SKYACTIV-DRIVE. The 2,500 cc engine capacity is capable of producing peak power of up to 190 Hp and 251 Nm of torque.
In addition to the All-New Mazda CX-5 at GIIAS 2017, Mazda’s other superior models, which have been launched in Indonesia, are also on display and these include the Mazda2, Mazda6, Mazda CX-3 and Mazda Biante. In addition, future models which will be soon be launched in Indonesia such as the Mazda6 Estate, Mazda3, Mazda CX-9 and Mazda MX-5 RF are also being showcased. This is further affirmation of Mazda’s commitment to always provide the latest and state-of-the-art Mazda products and technology for Mazda fans and lovers enthusiasts in the country.
In conjunction with its participation in GIIAS 2017, PT EMI is extending a special sales programme comprising a Direct Gift in the form gasoline coupons for any Mazda CX-3 purchase; a Next Media Decoder and free six-month subscription of cable TV in the car for any Mazda Biante purchase, as well as Lucky Dip prizes which will give the first five winners a trip to Singapore including airfare, and which include and cash-back of up to 50 million rupiah.
The “Mazda Extended Warranty” is also a special sales promotion for all purchases made during GIIAS 2017. All Mazda vehicles which are purchased in the period of 10 to 20 August 2017 will get an additional two years’ warranty, instead of the usual three years. The “Mazda Extended Warranty” will be valid for five years or 150,000 km.
In addition, Mazda customers will be entitled to an “Emergency Roadside Assistance” (ERA) service just by calling 14051. This service, made possible by a collaboration between PT EMI and PT SOMPO Insurance Indonesia (SOMPO Indonesia), is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
“The ERA for Mazda customers is a service breakthrough which is being brought to fruition by PT EMI’s collaboration with a strategic partner, PT SOMPO Insurance Indonesia. With 24 by 7 access to this service, Mazda customers and owners will not only feel stress-free while driving a Mazda car, but also enjoy a greater level of comfort and assurance,” concluded Mr Arfandy.
